Drawing & Painting I starts November 6 and 8

Use the ‘right-side’ of the brain to learn how to see shapes, light and shadow.
A variety of subjects will be handled; still life, portraits, figures and those hard-to-do hands and feet. In some classes we will use a life model.
Media: pencil, charcoal and acrylic paint.
You will be amazed by your progress.
Materials are not included.

Botanical Drawing & Painting 2.

Learn to sketch, draw and paint in watercolor and ink.
Discover the beautiful intricate details of African plant life; flowers, leaves and fruit.

For everyone who is interested how to draw the human figure.
Great exercise for both art student (portfolio building) and artist to keep up their drawing skills. Experience the exciting rush of speed drawing and the ultimate concentration in long poses, drawing with your left hand, even both hands.

Landscape Painting

Be inspired by African landscapes, bring your own favorite photos, experiment with mixed media; ink, watercolor, acrylics, crayons, etc. Create texture with collage, alcohol, salt, crackle, etc. to make your own landscapes more realistic or more abstract.

Clay Pottery

Learn how to make objects (pots, cups, vases, etc.) out of Nyeri clay with techniques such as coiling, pinching, throwing and slabbing.
Great class for mums and daughters.
Your teacher is Kenyan artist Charles Ojwang.
All materials are included. Firing will be done by Charles in his kiln in Nairobi East.

Arty Party

We will organize a customized art class, if you bring a minimum of 8 children. Great idea for a school; a fun and educative day! Or a (birthday) party for your child and friends!
Your choice: drawing, acrylic painting (on framed canvas, a wooden box, a wooden tray, a t-shirt or a canvas bag.), printing, sculpture (wire and plaster, scrap metal or clay) or a mosaic wooden tray.
Themes: African animals, birds, cars, dragons, dinosaurs, dolphins, fairies, flowers, horses, knights or your own theme.
